Re: Misha B/Damian W
Okay. You listen here: You ain't got to talk to anyone you ain't inclined to talk to, and they need to respect your wishes if you're done talking. I didn't realize you meant it heavy when you told him so. And you ain't weak, and you ain't volatile. You're human, Dami, and you're going through things, and folks need to understand that and give you the space you need. [...] Damian, no. You're already smarter and learning faster than other folks did. You're doing in 12 years what other folks done in 30. You be kinder to yourself. [...] I was only thinking bout having a stage when I asked you to buy the carnival, but we took on more than that, both of us, and I don't reckon it fits good. But I ain't ignored any. You treat me real well, and don't you go contradicting me.
You're a better man than you give yourself credit for, and I reckon I'm going to be real lucky to be round when you realize that and grow into who you are. As for what they require, it ain't us, it ain't anyone. They require paychecks and process, and they might be real sorry once they get it, but I ain't inclined to watch you hurt any longer over it. [...] I can always keep working for whoever you sell to, or I can get a job in the city. There's a whole lot of work there, and I won't have trouble any. And I won't resent you for what's my notion in the first place. I want us to sell. I want us both to have a chance to be normal 21 year olds, and normal 21 year olds don't run businesses. They get drunk on Fridays and go dancing and fuss over their futures and finals.
