[Eddie tilted his head to the side, chuckling as she wrinkled her nose. She moved in close and he let his jacket open wide for her, so she could press up against him. He reached to run fingers through her inky hair, a fond smile on his face as he built up the courage. What he wanted? Could accidentally splinter them apart. But, he decided, it was probably worth the risk. Being careful never got him anywhere near happiness.
He kissed her again, slow and intimate, as if they weren't standing at the casino bar. Eddie was aware that people were watching. That patrons of the Rex would be whispering about her by the end of the night. He took comfort in knowing that Muerte knew that and she was here in his arms anyway.
