Re: Manning/Nishka: Market
"Like?" True, what he was doing was more typical of the Vanir than the Aesir, but there were only so many drinks he could pour to fallen comrades, so many he could best in battle before it was time to return home, and home was soon empty. "Starting wars? Causing mischief?" He asked, eyeing Nishka.
The words could have stung, but they didn't. This was the life he'd chosen, his peace. "Doctoring them, not mucking stalls," he said with a quirk of a smile. "Do you not remember the goats?"
He paused, the words seemingly out of nowhere until he realized Loki was answering someone, only they hadn't been out loud. "You're talking to yourself. Going senile already?" He teased. "And you're off by three and a half centuries," Manning said as he paid for the squash, the farmer behind the stand giving him a look, but then smiling.
"And keep your voice down," he said as he brushed past Nishka, intent on finishing up his shopping before he turned for home.
