Re: Manning/Nishka: Market
Loki's grin widened at his immediate recognition. He'd been half-hoping he wouldn't catch on right away so he'd have the opportunity to mock Odin's son for a while, but he could still have fun with him. "In this shit town? About a week. How do you like my new...companion?" he asked, smirking and shifting so that the other man could get a better look at Nish's body.
'Seriously? You're doing this?' Nish demanded. 'Who is he?' she demanded, but Loki ignored her.
"Cattle die, kinsmen die, the self must also die," he rattled off the poem in Old Norse. "Not you though, aparently," he observed, making a show of sizing him up a bit. "How'd you swing the immortality thing? I've had to settle for soul-jumping, which is fun, don't get me wrong," he insisted, "I've gotten used to sharing heads with people over the years, but I do sometimes miss my old self," he said, looking down at Nish's hands as if for the first time. Then he leant in close and winked, "though, being female once in a while sure is fun," he chuckled.
