Re: Carnival: Sadie M & Damian W + Misha B + Open
Misha, he smiled over when Damian put a hand on real bare knee, and he pecked another kiss at Damian's cheek while Sadie performed.
Course, he knew what she was 'bout with the tapping shoes, but he didn't say a thing. He just watched and enjoyed, and he figured this girl was good 'nough for the big top. It was one of them times when he wondered if being involved in the running of this place wasn't real unwise. Could be she would bring in more money than him, and could be they should share that headlining spot, or could be she should have it over him. It was hard to see clear when performing was something he did, and it was one of the main reasons he'd wanted Damian to see this girl play, on account of maybe Damian could make a clearer decision.
And, no doubt at all the girl was real good. Her fingers were fast, and she played like someone who played on account of loving. That made all the difference, least as far as Misha reckoned. "You ought to meet Dietre. He's the backup pianist in the tent and burlesque, and he's real good." Which was an understatement some. Dietre, he had a whole lot of talent when it came to playing.
He leaned 'gainst Damian's arm some, real glad his eye had gone unnoticed by all gathered, and he smiled when Sadie stopped and spoke, fixing her language some. He was real mashed up 'gainst Damian now, having scooted closer some, and he'd been tapping his feet at the air while Sadie played and jigged, and he could imagine her tapping real easy on the big tent's wooden stage. "Getting folks involved in the show, it's always a real good thing," he encouraged, and that was true as could be. "There's lots of children that come, and we get them seats up front, and a good show will get them moving a whole lot." He nodded agreeable at her, and then he looked over at Damian.
He didn't lead or ask if she was good. He just waited a spell, letting Damian do the managing himself. Misha, he just sucked on that end of blond hair some more, and he itched for his fiddle a whole lot. Could be he'd find himself an open mic next time they were in the Capital.
