[Louis was relieved. He tried not to let it show too much on his face. Most likely, he should pretend he'd known all along that Oliver would respond with enthusiasm. But how could he be sure? Oliver was, if nothing else, not the easiest to read, and after Sam asked the question he'd begun to wonder if he'd read the boy wrong, or whether being asked it would make him second guess agreeing to do this in the first place.
That flex of fingers to restore feeling did earn a glance. There were going to be gloves waiting for Oliver at Sonrisa tomorrow. Sam's wink, however, and her offer to give Oliver supplies for free, went a long way to making him feel as if this all might work out after all.]
