log: hannah and ren
"Let's get out of here," Ren said tersely.
There was nothing to say what was going to happen next, but whatever show there was going to be had dissolved into chaos and chaos had the tendency to not look between the good and the bad types when it chose victims. He didn't have any problems with helping Hannah help people, he wasn't even that worried about himself, but the longer they lingered, the more likely something was to happen to either of them.
He slid his arms under the boy, his attention momentarily on the AI. "I've got you," he said simply. He didn't want to tell the boy it was going to be all right until he was certain it might be and right now that was a long ways away from being the truth. He didn't ask how Hannah knew the woman that they'd come across, she'd said something about Internet forums and her work before, and it wasn't the time. Instead he just nodded curtly at Hannah. "Follow me," he told her as he started towards the entrance, in the shortest way he could figure to get there. "Stay close."
