Re: log: louis/ren
He took Ren's hand with a flitting smile. He didn't typically expect to shake hands with a date, and the gesture charmed him. "Really, I just wanted any excuse to see Shakespeare without being that queer who goes to the theater alone," he said, amicably. "And it is always better to have company who actually enjoys the proceedings. When you said you liked theater, I couldn't resist. I don't know if you're aware, but an interest in Shakespeare is a rare commodity in Repose."
Louis interacted with the public on a daily basis at the shop, but that was also with the comfort of familiar surroundings, and a clear exit route to the apartment upstairs if his passenger decided to complicate things. He didn't visit the Capital anymore. The one trip he'd made, almost a year ago now, had been enough to scare him off large crowds, or leaving home much at all. He was edging back into spending time in the city, but it still left him feeling uncomfortable exposed. Add to that a theater full of strangers and a blind date, and he was more than a little nervous about the results of the evening.
So far, though, so good. "That's correct," he said. After all, he was Santa Clause. "Santa never reveals his methods." He was the arbiter of this situation - he had created it, down to finding the tickets. Speaking of which, he slipped his hands into his pockets again, checking for the hundredth time to be sure the ticket was still there. He tipped his head toward the doors. "Shall we? I think there's a bar inside. We have a little time."
