"First big show rolls around, when it's supposed to be me and these other folks right? Well here they are, all passed out or dragged in by the cat, and not a one of 'em fit to play and then there's me. I tell you I was made of ice for about two whole minutes while I waited to see what'n heck was gonna happen." She shook her head a bit. "Then it comes to me that, well, all I really need's a bit of good thumpin' for rhythm, and can fiddle just about anything on that, so I go and get some things to strap on my shoes, stuff to make noise right? Bells on the ankles and on the belt, whatever I can find to make noise that'll sound nice..."
"Turned that crowd out real nice I did. Kids an all." That last note, about kids, was a particularly special one for Sadie, everything about losing her kin having been extra raw back then. "Everybody all dancin' around. I guess I pulled in more that night on my own than they ever did as a group?" She shrugged, not really caring about that part. "Anyway, s'when I figured out I could busk, so I figured why not just keep on goin', you know? S'how I ended up here."
Another sip would drain the last of her drink and she just smiled at him, same as she had been right along.
"Pleased don't cover it, but pleased to meet you all the same Misha. You do give my best to you Beau, yeah? Tell him I look forward to meetin' him come Monday too." She paused a sec and closed with "Probably go see that Capital too if we get a nice day for headin' that way. See how I do in the big city." She grinned and pushed up from her seat to give him a proper goodbye handshake.
