Re: Nora's room - Gwen & Nora
When Nora said it like that, Gwen understood. It wasn't too different from her own reason for being in the facility. "People will do nearly anything to cure illness in their loved ones. If you have the ability to do that through touch, then you're super valuable. You'll need to ensure you have a good place to hide if you leave. I saw a familiar name on the forums - Jason Woods. He doesn't know me, but I know he was a good guy out in New York. He'll help if you get out, okay?"
As to why she, herself, couldn't leave, that was simple. "I'm artificially created. I belong to the Dragon, so it would be like stealing equipment. But it's okay. This is what I was created to do." Gwen's smile said she meant the words. This wasn't an instance of martyring. She'd only been alive six months, and it wasn't like Nora who'd been born to lead a full life as a human being on this planet.
She reached back for her messenger bag, and she pulled out the package of baked things. From inside, she pulled out a doughnut, and she handed it to the other girl. "Get your strength up first, okay?"
