Re: log: eddie/steph -- apartment above the arcade
Eddie cracked a smile when she asked if she could be friends with Tim. There was the priority, right? "Sure, baby. Of course you can be his friend." His voice was perfectly smooth and calm. "This is what I wanted you to do. Talk to him, go on adventures with him. Figure out where you two stand. Really iron it out." The scarf came off and then the jacket, buttons expertly taken off with a showman's precision. Eddie smoothed his hand over his hair and tossed the jacket on the couch, loosening his tie.
"Why are you sorry, exactly? Because I saw it? Let's be honest here, Stephanie. You want to make everyone happy and in doing so you don't think very long and hard about your own motivations. Desires. Whatever." He rolled his hand in the air. "I don't care if you're sorry. I want you to wake up."
Eddie turned from her as she ventured forward. He didn't want to be touched and he also knew that he needed to wrap up this confrontation fast. If there was a yes on that stick, he'd change his whole tune. Eddie didn't give a damn. He wasn't going to treat his kid like his dad treated him. "I want you to know it's okay to try and explore other options. I brought you back here, I took you to Karma's Bite, I've controlled you. How is that fair?"
