[Damian was not asleep. He was painting at the kitchen table, still in the Capital with Misha. The 'touch' came, jarring him from his reverie and causing him to blot, then smear alizarin crimson on canvas. Fortunately, oil paints do not dry with any quickness whatsoever, so the man had time to correct this mistake.—He is not certain from whom the 'touch' originates, even with the cinnamon on his tongue like blood after a fight. The list of potential 'touchers' is limited, however, he will make contact once he has cleaned up.
As for what Janus will receive at such contact—it depends. Damian, by and large, is not alright. Jonesing, tired, and with a lot upon his shoulders, he is not doing as well as he could be. There is worry about Misha (this is the largest concern), about the family, about Alyssa, about the destruction of the world, about falling off of the wagon, about everything.
