Re: NM: Cat & Leena
It was wise, but also true, and better than the trite things that people outside of the Center tried to tell her. The people inside were rarely given to such things unless they were knew, but some of them had been hearing outside things for so long that they just parroted them without even thinking, all the while knowing that it was about as helpful as shitting in the middle of a room.
Apparently that wasn't the end of Cat's wisdom though, as she went on to Stephanie and then to Jason. She had a right to ask for what she needed, but in listening to Cat, she realize she hadn't really ever asked either. Or even told Stephanie that she was pushing a little too hard, and that wasn't any more fair to Stephanie than it was fair to her to be expected to be okay with a friendship she didn't remember. Jason though, Jason she wasn't sure about still. Yet, what Cat said sounded true, and it made her feel a little sad. There was nothing she could do about it while she was in here though, and there were probably other people Jason wanted checking in on him besides her.
"Alright." And she allowed the squeeze, her gaze tracking the other woman. She even gave a little squeeze back.
There were other topics that needed to be broached -- her name being one of them, but right now, Leena didn't feel like it. She wanted to sit, and be calm, and be okay for a little while even if it couldn't last.
