Re: [Flower Shop: Sam & Dawn]
Sam didn't know the music. She listened to some playlists when she painted, but it was modern stuff, yeah? Halsey was her current favorite, and she played the shit out of that album. Or, yeah, she played the shit out of that album on a Spotify playlist. Sam didn't buy music. She mostly didn't even remember the names of songs. And, ok, so that was kinda new shit. Once upon a time and in another lifetime, she'd really been into opera. She even took singing lessons for a bit, and her voice was ok, but that was a long time ago and she hadn't listened to an aria since the baby was born. So, yeah, she didn't know what the pink-on-plaid-on-pink blonde was listening to. She DID know that the girl had a killer fucking voice, huh? Arias, yeah? Sam knew amazing when she heard it, and Leo's gf, if this WAS Leo's gf, was fucking amazing.
Sam had fed a few hours earlier, and that meant she was rosy and warm and very alive looking. Her hair was messy curls and tangles, and her lipstick was as cherry as her hoodie and Docs as she walked into the store.
The flowers smelled STRONG, yeah? Sam's sense of smell was hella impressive these days, and the flowers were overwhelming a little. It was kinda nice tho since it meant she couldn't smell dinner, and it was a big switch to look at people like appetizers or something. So, yeah, hey, she was good, and she rocked on her heels with the exuberance of the bouncy young. "Hey, yeah, nah, I'm here to buy something tho. But, um, full disclosure or whatever, yeah? I'm Sam. Leo's kid sis. I think you two know each other." Sam's smile was all shit-eating grin and gapped teeth that hadn't ever gotten straightened out by an orthodontist. She sound Jersey coarse, all round vowels and an attitude on her shoulder. But the girl herself was smiley as fuck, trouble with a grin and playful. So, yeah, contradiction or whatever, and she wandered over to some flowers she didn't know the name of. "Like, these, what are they?" She pointed, and then she shook her blonde curls and realized she was forgetful. "My sis just had a baby, and I want to send her flowers or whatever. Something good for someone who just had a baby, so not roses or anything."
