Re: leo/dawn deer rescues
[Dawn nodded with all seriousness though a small smile warmed her features.] I do. [He kissed her and she couldn't keep back the smile that blossomed on her lips even with all of the worry that was weighing her down.] I think in this town you may be able to get away without the sunglasses if the parties and how people react are anything to go by. But it might be smart, no matter what it makes you look like. [Dawn didn't ever think he could look like a douchebag, but it may have been a little fun to tease.]
[Leo said the doe was nearby, and she paused for a beat. Dawn didn't know any other way to get the doe's attention apart from what came natural to her. Her lips parted and the song flowed on the air as she simply vocalized some ethereal melody that filled the clearing. He'd heard her sing before, but this close her voice was obviously too perfect for this world. She was careful to not be too loud, something sweet and beckoning in her voice that brought several owls fluttering into the branches above to stare down at them with their huge eyes.
Within a few moments, he'd be able to hear it. A pitiful bray that the doe let out, its voice worn out and almost gone from trying to call for help. But it was enough. There was rustling beneath a tangle of holly bushes nearby, and upon investigation the young doe had gotten her bad leg caught in a few exposed roots.]
