Re: leo/dawn deer rescues
[Dawn never understood hunting to begin with. Bring a bunch of people that were foaming at the mouth to shoot some rabid animals into the mix, and she was unable to keep her soft heart from bleeding. So Leo complained, and Dawn just hung her head in a Charlie Brown level of dejection. Because Leo was right. Someone shot at the deer that was just now getting rid of its spots, and that was sick. But Leo being able to get a bullet out? Dawn already had her little flutters from seeing him, and that offer made her gaze up at him with an overwhelming adoration.] You know how to do that, too? You are a font of hidden talents. I'm glad you're here. [It was easier to concentrate on him, but she did start to worry less as she realized the young doe was going to be okay either way.
Dawn wanted to warn him about getting too close to the cave. There were a lot of bats in there. She was pretty sure that they were all okay, but they could still get out and give them a scare. You see, she wanted to tell him, but she didn't because Leo said he had something to tell her. She knew about the accident, but that last part?] What kind of abilities? [Not that there was anything he could say that would really shock her. Not after the heavy stuff she'd dropped on him in their last foray into the woods. Dawn tilted her head and waited as patiently as she could for Leo to explain.]
