Re: Sonrisa, log: Dietre A & Cris M
Though greeted with a warm, friendly smile, Dietre remained aloof. He had expected the man to reveal who he was somehow, and while he fit the description he’d been given, D was still unsure. He couldn’t just act as though they knew each other. Then again, they didn’t really know each other. Dietre didn’t really know anyone, but he felt he was becoming a decent enough judge of who he would like in person and who he wouldn’t after having conversations online. He knew right away that Liam was a kindred spirit, and while Cris didn’t move him to that degree, he considered him someone safe to interact with.
“Just… a person I know,” he answered vaguely. He had yet to figure out just what the angel was to him and vice versa. “He paints,” he added unhelpfully. A look of dismay crossed his features as he realized he had no idea what John liked. He knew almost nothing about him, other than that one big secret. And there was nothing even special about his knowing, as Misha had known long before him. Perhaps he had been seeing more to his and John’s relationship than really existed. The thought was upsetting, but getting him a gift still felt like a good thing to do. Who wouldn’t try to curry the favor of an angel if they had a chance?
“I’m sorry, but I can’t give you specifics.” Feeling useless, Dietre steered off in another direction. He had begun to wonder if it was rude to continue treat the man before him as simply a cashier if he was who he thought he was. Not wanting to ruin a positive acquaintanceship, he dropped a few of his walls and lost that wary, guarded look he had been wearing.
“I think you and I have spoken. ...On the internet.” He didn’t smile, but offered a hand to shake. “Dietre Abendroth.” His brow furrowed. “You-- You are who I talked to, aren’t you..?”
