Re: [Tea: Daniel/Claire]
Research had been put on hold for the evening. She had a chaos being that needed to be scryed upon, an issue with the wrong side getting hold of a rather powerful weapon, a Hellhound that may have been taken by that facility again if he didn't reply to her post soon, along with all the rest of the mess that came with chaos of party aftermaths. But for tonight, Claire was going to try to put that all aside and allow for lighter conversation. It was easier to do after a glass of wine.
From the porch, Daniel would be able to hear the low music coming from inside, as Claire was still pouring through an obnoxiously huge discography to let Steve know what she thought. When she heard the knock, her book of crossword puzzles was laid down on the couch with her pencil used to hold her place. Claire pulled the door open and smiled brightly at Daniel, her eyes flickering over his choice in attire with familiarity, "Ciao, bello." In the comfort of her home, Claire was far more casual than usual in her jeans and white sweater big enough that it nearly swallowed her whole. Of note was the lack of gloves and bare feet, both marred by the same pink puncture scars that she generally went to great lengths to keep hidden.
She didn't ask him inside immediately, instead teasing her invitation with a lean against the door frame and a long, slow drink from her glass of white wine. There was a smirk at the corners of her eyes that peered up through long lashes, some playful glint that said she would let him in when she was good and ready to do so. Perhaps that was just a little of the leftover kitten from the party. Not that she made him wait any real significant amount of time, "Please, Daniel, come inside." Claire stepped away from the door to allow him entrance.
Inside, her home was meticulous to the point of looking more like a model of cozy than somewhere that someone actually lived. The only pieces out of place were where she was sitting on the couch with the crossword puzzles, a copy of The Silmarillion with variously colored ribbons used as markers sticking out of the edges next to The Lord of the Rings similarly marked, and her phone playing the music while charging on the coffee table that sat before the empty fireplace. "Thank you for coming. I am glad to see you. Make yourself comfortable," she motioned to the couch, "I'll get us tea."
