Re: log: leo/dawn go on a walk
Leo shook his head, like he was trying to wake himself up from a dream. There had been squirrels in the city that would run up for food, but there wasn't one that gave gifts. He watched, eyes focused on the creature, on Dawn, on the little patch of forest around them for clues. No strings, no clicker in Dawn's pocket to signal the animal, no evidence of the squirrel being anything but a fucking squirrel.
He did crouch down to pet the creature if only to see if it was real or not. Once it scampered up the tree he put his hands in his pockets and avoided eye contact with Dawn for a moment. He needed to think. No evidence of training this creature, no undernourishment, no anything he could sense as a trick.
"How did you do it?" He looked up at her, completely ignoring her question.
