Re: log: leo/dawn go on a walk
He kissed her like he had been thinking about her all day, all week. The press of lips were of frustration, a pent up need for something he had told himself a thousand times that he didn't need. There was a chance something terrible was going to happen, that he missed a lie or worse some kind of random accident took her away from him. But, he didn't let those questions weight him down. She liked trying to poke sunlight through his storm clouds. Who had ever tried to do that before?
Dawn held onto him and kissed him slow and deep. Leo held on tighter, fingers digging into her cardigan. She broke the kiss and he returned a dizzy smile back at her. "You are welcome." He said each word with punctuated seriousness to make her laugh. Leo tilted his head to the side as she stroked his hair, and through the fog could feel something watching them. He glanced down to see the cute little squirrel, looking up at them with big Disney eyes.
"Is he rabid?" Leo asked, unsure of what else would make a critter act that way.
