Re: log: leo/dawn go on a walk
"Loretta was a really good cat." Leo said a little too seriously; trying to mask the love he had for that dang cat. And, yep, he was almost positive he was going to adopt a new one soon. Maybe a slightly older one? Something that was passed over because of the cute kittens. Anyway, Dawn called him cute and he looked horrified, face flushing pink as he awkwardly laughed. Moving on!
If Dawn thought he would glaze over the fact she had to feed her family by tending to a garden, she had another thing coming. "Wasn't there a supermarket nearby? Farmer's market? Drug store?" Where exactly did she grow up? "Then again, some of the places I've been didn't have anything nearby for miles. Most people were happy to let us help since we were famous, but others were pissed we were filming in their little paradise."
She took his hand and he squeezed her fingers gently. He did start to notice more woodland creatures than his normal brooding walks through the woods. It wasn't creepy or alarming like some kind of sign of an apocalypse. It was almost welcoming. Like he had stepped into a fantasy land with her at his side.
"Okay." He nodded and looked at her before saying, "I've been in town less than a year. I've never been in love before. I couldn't stop thinking about you today." His voice didn't waver with the first two, but the last one he looked down and away from her.
