Re: log: leo/dawn go on a walk
Dawn looked on as he pulled out his phone, her eyes wide with curiosity. He said it was going to be lame, and she knew by now that she was going to have to brace herself for amazing. And amazing was offered up in one perfect photo that made Dawn melt. "Oh, she's precious," she cooed, "Loretta let you hold her like that a lot?" The fact that he had that picture on his phone spoke volumes. "You're too cute, you know?" Both when he was younger and now.
"There was never a time we didn't have a garden. We needed to eat." It only vaguely occurred to her just how different her life was compared to most everyone else in the world. Luckily, Leo's life was a whole lot different, too. "You'd just go work with people in their gardens? That's a wonderful habit. Would people ever tell you no?"
There was a gentle blush to her cheeks when he said he wasn't sharing this side of him with anyone else, and she smiled up at him as her hand slid from the crook of his elbow so she could lace her fingers between his. Holding his hand was far more intimate than the proper elbow escorting, and had she known he was thinking of kissing her he would have been welcomed. She gazed up at him with warm affection, "I like being the one that gets to see you like this." Now, it should be noted that several little woodland critters had taken notice of the two of them. Above in the branches were a few birds that followed along their path, and a handful of squirrels would poke their heads out of their nests as Dawn and Leo got close. Off in the distance, between two tall trees, a doe eyed them with interest.
"That is a lot to keep track of," she shook her head like there would be no way for her to keep all of that straight in her mind. Dawn was worried about him finding out who she was. He might not believe it, like all the doctors, but there was the chance he would and then have to think he was living in some indie director's dream. "I think you may have a very distinct advantage in this," she said of the game with a laugh, but it was clear acceptance. "You go first," the fingers of her hand not entwined with his ran light along his arm as she said 'you', "And then you can see how not very good I am at lying." Another of those cloyingly sweet smiles.
