Re: log: leo/dawn go on a walk
Oh, Leo. Dawn heard this and was absolutely thrilled. "That doesn't sound lame at all." And she really didn't. A cat's birthday party was something right up her alley. "I think it's wonderful. It sounds like she was properly spoiled the way a cat should be. Did you get her as a kitten?" The thought of him with a kitten? Dawn may not be able to handle the intense adorable.
"It kept them out of our garden!" She tried to justify it to him the same way she tried to justify it to her aunts, but even he would know by now that she did it because she wanted to make the rabbits happy. "I'd replant things for them to dig up or chew on. Wildflowers, grasses, and vegetables mainly. I'd check it every few days to see what they were low on and find more to replant." It didn't seem like too much work to her, but she was dialed up to eleven on the sweetness scale. Even for some jerk wild rabbits. Who were really the most gentle and sweet bunnies she'd ever known.
She was not the jealous type in general, and she wasn't the jealous type now. There was no need with the way she'd seen him smile at her. But she did want to gently nudge that little reminder that she was interested in him so he didn't have time to doubt. "You'll let her down gently?" she grinned playfully as she bumped his shoulder with hers before staying pressed close to his side. With the sun going down, it was getting colder but Dawn was warmed by those sweet little gestures he'd give to her.
"Always?" She sounded impressed. "How do you tell if someone is lying to you?" As naive and innocent as the question may have sounded, she meant specifically him. How did he tell? As once again he was the complete focus of her attention.
