Re: log: leo/dawn go on a walk
He nodded. Of course Loretta had to have her namesake singing at her party. "We'd put on the record or one of her old concerts and give Loretta new toys and treats. It was very lame." He grimaced at her bright smile, squinting at her like she just opened up the blinds in the morning. There was nothing cool about being sentimental. It just lead to doing regrettable things like getting his own cat that would eventually die and break his heart just like everything else.
"You gave them a garden to raid? That goes against every kids story about wily rabbits. How did any of the garden grow fast enough for them to eat?" He asked her rapid fire, but his grimace slowly turned into a soft smile. Leo couldn't believe she'd put in so much work for some jerk wild rabbits.
"Well, that sucks for her." Leo shrugged and pulled her closer to him. He caught that look she gave him and even if it was mostly a joke, it was pleasantly surprising. Dawn didn't seem like the type that got jealous. Leo, however, was the reigning, defending champion of it.
"There's always some kind of evidence I can find at a crime scene." Leo didn't mention the special powers that came along with that. "But, sometimes that's not enough. I think evidence and carving away at statements is what works the best. If someone is lying, there's always a thread to pull and evidence to back it up."
