Re: log: leo/dawn go on a walk
Leo was dressed like he always was. Dark coat over a sweatshirt, jeans and the beanie. He didn't match the pink wool skirt which was probably better suited for a tall blonde guy that tied their tennis cardigan around their neck like the dicks from Animal House. Leo was fully aware he didn't belong anywhere near her sunshine, but if she suddenly got a Ken-doll boyfriend he'd never let another woman anywhere near him with waffles.
"I'm sure that was really popular on Twitter." Leo said about the dog tearing up flowers. She beamed at him though, so his cynicism about people trying to mine for likes and retweets was hard to cling to. Her smile parted his rain clouds and there was nothing he could do about that. "I had a cat growing up and we didn't know her real birthday so we made it up and celebrated it, too." Leo said before he could stop himself. He loved that dang cat and Dawn was the first person he had told about her since she died like five years ago.
"Today I was working over in the bookstore area trying to catch my breath from making coffee. I'm in the middle of reading a Hercule Poirot story. This woman comes up to me and tells me in two sentences how it ends." Leo wandered over to look at the flower fridge. He had never gone to Homecoming with a girl, but he did make out with someone's date in the bathroom. "She was lucky I know all those stories or I would have strangled her."
