Re: log: leo/dawn go on a walk
Dawn had gotten lost in making corsages for homecoming for the past hour or so. She'd cut stems down, then glance at the clock. Not 5:00. Roses in red and yellow were gathered, and then she'd glance at the clock. Not 5:00. After her and Leo's nap, she hadn't been entirely certain things wouldn't go back to how they had been before if not worse. She'd been let in to a place where Leo would smile and had his guard down, and there was a possibility that he would shut down and not talk to her again. Instead, he had gotten her flowers. She quite literally couldn't stop smiling ever since, and her conversation with him all day had only made everything even better. It had also made the last hour drag into infinity while she waited for him to show up.
There was a knock at the window and Dawn finally glanced up from her arrangements to look at something other than the clock. He mouthed his blame for the tulip at her, and without missing a beat Dawn flashed Leo a display sign that read "50% OFF" with a knowing smirk. He was trying, but his look had changed from a few weeks ago and now that glint in his eye was warmer than his previous razor sharp. She was so excited to get to go talk to him again. There was so much for her to learn.
Dawn smiled as he walked in towards her, and she smoothed her pink wool skirt down over her hips in some instinctual flutter to try and make herself presentable for him. There hadn't been a whole lot of customers that day in the store. A lot of phone calls, which tended to be very run of the mill. "I made a bouquet today for someone's dog's birthday," she raised her eyebrows at Leo before placing the corsage she'd just finished into a plastic container. "They wanted to make sure the flowers were safe for her to eat and tear apart," and while she may have been trying to make it sound weird, she had a smile on her face that proved Dawn thought it was absolutely adorable.
"Your turn," a beaming smile was shone Leo's way and she motioned for him to follow as she had to do a few little things before they left. Corsage put in the cooler. Cardigan grabbed from the back. Calla lilies straightened up in their vase. Nothing that couldn't be done while talking so they could head out faster.
