Re: quicklog: leo's apartment leo/dawn
[Dawn had been the most disappointed that there hadn't been more time for skating. The holding hands was a wonderful side-effect. Even knowing that it was Leo, while shocking, made her enjoy the night all that much more. It wasn't like she didn't think he was cute. He was. Now he was also her escape partner in a weird bond that made her flutter when she looked at him.
Oh, he may have asked about the hospital, but she didn't answer. Not yet. Not after he went into his reasons for Spidey. Her eyes softened and she reached out to brush her fingers along his shoulder.] I'm so sorry. [And she genuinely was, though there was little anyone could say to help with that sort of pain. He could act like it wasn't a big deal all he wanted, but that would never be the case.] Can I ask? Or is it something you do not want to talk about?
[Dawn smiled at her whole thing again, and this time there were no wings to flutter to betray how much she liked to hear it.] I'm glad you did. I don't think I would have enjoyed the night as much if you hadn't. [So, right. The hospital. She waited until the bacon was plated and then handed him one of the plates before motioning over to the couch for them to sit.] I was in a coma about five years ago now. When I woke up, they couldn't figure out who I was so it took a long time for me to be released. In the meantime I'd go play with some of the kids in the pediatric ward upstairs. [She shrugged like there was no sort of trauma involved, and lowered herself onto the couch with an obscene amount of grace and poise.]
