Re: quicklog: leo's apartment leo/dawn
[If Dawn hadn't been subjected to a mountain and a half of fairy godmother charms, she would probably be far more cynical and use a difficult attitude to keep people at bay, too. She simply didn't know how. The temperament of an angel, after all. Leo had the freedom to feel the way he wanted, and that was a beautiful thing.
Dawn looked confused for half a second.] What? I said I was making waffles. [Because that was clearly what was too much. But then OH! The party. Yes. There might have been a smile on his face for a glimmer of a moment before it melted into something else, and Dawn tried to not be disappointed.] You didn't have to. It was pretty great being up on the ceiling with you. I wouldn't have come down. [She could still be nice even when he was rolling his eyes and seemingly trying to hold back his insults.
Dawn followed behind him into the kitchen and put the plates and syrup down on the counter. If he didn't need her help, she could at least offer her company.] We'd play Candy Land at the hospital. I thought it was a cute idea for passing out candy. Like for trick-or-treating. I wasn't expecting that to happen. [She didn't lean, her posture picture perfect as she explained her costume the best she could.] Is there a why behind Spider-Man? Or did you just happen to have the outfit laying around? [Her tease was as gentle as she was, warm gaze following his journey as he moved up and down.]
