Were he a demanding man, he might have pulled her down, pulled her close and tucked her into the opening of his coat and against his side. One did not handle Goddesses of the Harvest so, and his gaze remained upon her as she sat, lady like by his side. One hand crept out, pink of his palm showing as he left it on the grass for her to take, or ignore as she desired.
"In the desert they're bright. The further you get from civilization, away from smoke and smog and electric lights, the brighter they get. Some places you can see the whole galaxy. Makes you feel small, but reminds you that you're a little piece of a giant cog and the stars are going to keep on long after your memory fades." It was sweet melancholy. "I like it though. Makes me feel safe."
