Re: Patrick G/Newt P
Perhaps this won't work out, after all.
I rather think she'd get sick of me, but I could ask, if you think it'd help. And, on the contrary, I would adore living through the chronometer, but it would make me awfully dependent and pestering when I'd an engagement this side of the pane. I'll find something, if moving is what I decide to do. Perhaps Adrian'll go to the Gunster homestead anyway, hm? [...] He was in much better spirits. I might be to blame for some of that. I told he [erm.] confessed he loved me a few months back, yes? I failed to return the sentiment. That and telling him of Sue, and he certainly seems worse off. I'm sure I can't take all the credit, of course, but some of it. [...] He doesn't want to talk much about what he does at the Facility or any of that. He certainly won't tell me what he's really thinking about Sue or any of it. It's somewhat limiting.
Fight for what, darling? Two shags? No. If it'd be better for Adrian, anyway, it hardly seems my place.
