Re: In person: Misha B/Damian W
[Misha, he didn't ken that Damian wasn't seeing him as a person. It was one of Misha's concerns real regular, that one day he'd quit looking human. There wasn't a whole lot of cause for it, since dominions were the angels folks were modeled after, and malakhim had always looked like their charges, but Misha still fretted, so it was better he didn't know 'bout it any. All he knew was Damian sat stiff and looking a little off, but Misha was real glad the boy was there, that Damian got into the car without fussing, and that the car was driving on down the road and toward the woods and, beyond, the carnival.
As for the man in the front seat, he wasn't listening to a thing. Could be that fact was precipitated by wings rustling, but Misha wasn't thinking on it, on the fact that he was using his ability on innocent folks when he shouldn't, and for reasons all his own. He just didn't want Damian saying something inadvertently 'bout killing them men. He just didn't want Damian getting caught.
The question 'bout blood was a strange one. Misha, he wasn't sure blood was living in the first place, but he reckoned Damian didn't need a real scientific answer. That comment 'bout shedding, it was strange 'nough that Misha had to think a spell.] Who says we got to be shed? [He asked that, reckoning it was best to know more 'fore giving a response, and he tugged Damian the rest of the way into his lap, and the driver didn't so much as blink.
Ahead of them, the carnival came into view, and Misha nudged Damian toward the door. He paid the driver with the sound of wings rustling, and he waited for the man to go off and take himself on back to the road and off the dirt-gravel path.]
