Wren couldn't help the little protesting noises he made as he was lifted up, holding on but not stopping his friend from getting to his feet because he thought that being disposed of at this point was inevitable, regardless of what he'd been told, prior experience winning out over his fragile trust in anyone. He wasn't released though and he watched with big grey eyes (nevermind the glint of mechanical matter in his left) as the tall, tall person leaned down to speak to him. He held onto the stranger's hand and nodded, quiet, when he was included in that statement, his look of shock turning into a smile.
