Re: eddie/steph - old state house
[Eddie had been busy. Busy making deals with the other gangs, busy keeping his little town from collapsing in on itself, busy making sure he was the most powerful asshole in Second City. Busy. He liked being busy because time flew by. Midnight became 10am in a matter of seconds and sleep was all he needed to keep himself looking fresh in a suit. But, busy was what got him into this mess. Not Second City, not even Repose. This mess about his family, that's right his family and all the little missteps and tangles along the way.
So, he was making himself not busy. Tonight, he was the opposite of busy, he was free and open for Stephanie for as long as she needed him. She found him on the third floor, above the common areas of the Old State House. It was large, big enough to entertain a revolutionary politician and furnished with things new and old. He was over by the bedroom, taking off his tie after a long meeting with a Japanese mobster that liked to talk about all the different kinds of ways to kill a man with the power of the supernatural. Eddie's black coat was on the bed, his shoes thrown on the floor and his black sleeves rolled up.
He turned when Stephanie entered. He smiled as she flopped down on the bed.] Don't feel bad about Sasha. She hates me and she's taking it out on you. [Eddie said with a smile that was sharp. He was sharp these days. It was a good way to stay alive.]
