Re: jason/holly: the capital
"I'll try not to think like plankton," said the voice behind the mask. He was assessing her now that they were up close. He didn't recognize her, but he was starting to feel like he ought to. Where did that come from? It wasn't like he was obligated to know everybody from Jersey who washed up in the Capital just because he was notorious.
He followed her gaze to the pink-haired girl. Nothing remarkable about her that he could see, but maybe the girl from Jersey had a score of her own to settle. "Got a grudge?" he asked. It was the motivation that sprang immediately to mind, two hard-scrabble girls, one following the other. Sure, it could be a different story - a stalking situation, or information-gathering. This girl didn't seem the type for story A, so story B fit a little better.
"She is?" He slid his hands into the pockets of his leather jacket, looking across at the girl. She hadn't bothered to check the alley yet, or surely the guy in the red helmet would have gotten her spooked. Whether he was recognized or not, it wasn't exactly street wear.
He turned back to Holly. "So now's the part where you tell me who you're looking for. I'm not bad at finding people."
