Re: Room 12: Janus A/Steve M
[Like all children that had grown up with Captain Liberty comic books, it didn't occur to him that Steve would ever be uncomfortable in his body. He got a glimmer of it now that he knew he had been a kid once, when he talked about the Russian. The thought flickered and died, to be rekindled later.
Janus' grin did a little drop as he considered the implications of this, then picked up again as he thought Steve might be joking, and then dropped down again, jaw and all, when he perceived that maybe he wasn't. It stayed there as his pupils did a telescopic flex and stayed put as his (very healthy, thank you) imagination went wild.
It took him like twenty seconds to pull himself together, cough, clear his throat, rasp, cough again, and then repair oxygen floor to the point where he could say:] Did you ask Atticus about that?
