Re: second city: eddie/steph
[Eddie shook his head and glanced up at the ceiling of Second City. Down here smelled like fried food and the water from the Pirates of Caribbean ride. Musty, chemicals, grease. It felt like a place that was beyond home, beyond that nostalgia he felt in his heart for Jersey. This place was its own ecosystem, it had its own laws and nothing felt like hope was all lost. People were just down here being whatever kind of weird they wanted to be.
It made him feel home in a way he hadn't felt in years. But, it also made him feel like he wanted to be dangerous. Like he wanted to try and do things his own way, the Riddle way of solving problems.]
I didn't want to make you upset. [He reached to take her hands, holding them between their chests.] But, I didn't know what to do. I felt like I'd never be the kind of man you deserve. [She reached to kiss his jaw and he leaned down to sneak a real kiss from her. He kissed her again and sighed.] I came down here and something changed. Something about this place makes me feel more alive than the carnival or Repose or even Jersey could. I want to show you around. I want to see if you feel the same. Will you go with me?
