Re: [in-person: damian & misha]
[Damian was not condescending in his clarification that 'h-o-l-l-o-w' spelled hollow, but he was, certainly, humoring. He continued to be softly amused as Misha spoke, peering at the other boy fondly from the perch of his knee.] They do not have many angels coming out of Kentucky? [It was teasing.] It is certainly a unique dialect. [The man tugged his sock up his calf idly, fidgeting, now that he had set his fork aside. The sleeves in their pale blue spilled onto his hands.] How did you come to trust folks then? [He considered the question of why the ninja had come.] Father, likely. The rest of us were perhaps collateral, albeit valuable collateral. He was not a member of the League. The League is everything that he despises. I do not know the circumstances of his and Mother's union. [He smiled and was evidently pleased with himself.] Did you holler in your hollow? [Pronounced 'holler.']
[The offer to speak to Helena or Eddie was a big one, Damian knew. He thought about it.] If you wish to. Just know their moods and reactions have naught to do with you. I am waiting for Leena to reach out to me. I will leave Nelson. [The man attempted to be more understanding about Woods, but it was a reach for someone like Damian, at least at present. He did not wish to talk about the man, really. A shrug.] Fine. [He did not smile when Misha did. If anything, he was petulant.] No, we are not going to bed. [The answer about expectation made sense, and Damian might have asked more about it, had Misha not asked his next question. He blinked.] As you do about me. It is not as if I think you are incapable of doing things for yourself and require constant attention like a child. But, I was worried about what you had experienced and I did not wish to leave you distraught.
