Re: [Carriage House: Raven & Atticus]
[Yes, this felt safe enough. She likely shouldn't trust this - him - but her body ached and twinged sharp at the same time, and there wasn't any better place for her to go. His hands were warm and careful when they cupped around her body, and she tried to be equally careful with the parts of her that could hurt or injure. Or even simply annoy. She didn't trust a new wolf to have much control, but it continued to be a risk she had to take.
Her eyes closed as Atticus moved around his space, and she found that she didn't much care what he was doing. It was a dangerous way to feel, but she was losing focus beyond the pain. Any doctor would be able to see that she was slipping into shock finally, after holding it off as long as she could. Her head drooped more toward her chest, and she began to look as if she was sleeping, but her whole body trembled a little.
She was brought back by movement, the shift of gravity and vertigo (though that was something she never thought she could feel in this body) as she was tipped to the side. Her eyes came open again and she automatically tried to spread her wings to steady herself. Her good wing snapped out immediately, and her injured one gave a feeble flap that had her calling out roughly at the lance of agony. It was only a moment before the world steadied again and she found herself on something soft. Head dipping down, she nearly tucked it into a fold of the blanket as she let out uncontrollable sounds, the sort that a new chick might make only days out of the shell.]
