Re: Woods: Patrick/Mary
[Mary rubbed the bear's fur and then wrapped her arms around the big creature.] He won't eat you. Unless you have trail mix in your pocket, then he might reconsider. [She let go of the bear and held up her hand, inching her finger at Patrick so he'd come close and say hello.] Every animal in this forest can understand me, but it's not like talking to them. It's just a feeling. I can feel things that happen, like how magic smoke destroyed a house a few months ago or how you can feel this forest, too.
I'm not scared of werewolves. They have their rules, their own society. If you respect it, they'll respect you. The ones who don't get dealt with by the pack. [She hadn't been able to talk about things like this since she was a teenager. And, if he suddenly had a house full of dwarfs to introduce to her? She'd probably cry.] I don't expect you to trust me, Charming. All I want is for you to know this place is my home now. To believe me when I say I can handle it.
