Re: Woods: Patrick/Mary
[She rolled her eyes hard at his explanation of catfishing. Mary hadn't romantically duped any of the other watch tower guys. They all got different stories, but none of them got the late night chats like Charming did. Life would have been a lot more simple if she was just a bored woman trying to outrun a few bad relationships. But, she sure as hell wouldn't have risked coming here if that were the case.
Why did she come here, anyway? Was it for the weird rumors or was it...?
She shook her head and looked at him hard. Princess glare.] You are either the smartest spy in the world or the dumbest man. [If there was an ounce of affection in that sentence, she would never acknowledge it.
Mary noticed the shiver, the poke of pointed ear, but she didn't say anything.] That's fine, charming. I wanted you to move on. [She didn't expect him to wait for her. Snow White's only pursuer was someone who wanted to kill her. Mary looked down, fingers tracing the lining of her ranger hat.] I did disappoint you. When I left during the fire. [A nod and she looked up at him, mouth in a thin frown.] I'm sorry for that. I hate that I hurt you. But, I need to be here. This forest needs me, too.
