Re: [eddie/steph/cat steal a heart]
Oh and a scene was made. While the thieves rounded about her and snuck onto the blue room, that treasure room where their prize hid, Stephanie grinned at the lumbering goons. "Ready to play, boys?" One turned and careened towards her in a messy, clumsy sort of way. "Or girls," she continued. "Or theys. I don't want to be politically incorrect. You know, 21st century and all that." While she talked, one of the goons got a punch to the mouth, teeth clattering to the floor. Chatterbox. It always helped her focus and them get frustrated or distracted.
Steph dispatched of the few goons between herself and that room, but she knew she was being followed. Picking up the pace, she made it to the room just as the foundation vibrated beneath her feet.
Oh, great.
One of the goons blocked the door way, but she wasn't having that. Steph tapped him on the shoulder. "Hi." She waved when he turned around. A swift kick to the stomach doubled him (it?) over, and she used the leverage of his shoulders to push herself up and over his back. Careful, of course, to land another kick in the middle of his spine so that he fell face-first to the floor. "Alley-oop!" Her grin was bright, and her hair fell around her face in a perfect yellow halo as she landed. "You're starting the party without me?" she asked the two thieves in the room as the bodyguards closed in. As she moved in, she slid some of the tiny, metal boomerangs from her utility belt between her fingers.
Goon 50-whatever closed in on Eddie as the riddled man was distracted by another. Stephanie, of course, zeroed in on that, and quickly made her way towards that. Sliding between legs, slipping between large bodies, until she was directly behind the goon trying to swipe at her man. One of the boomerangs found its way into the bodyguard's neck, and he hollered as it tasered him until he fell to the ground. "Look at you getting yourself into trouble," Steph quipped over the din of grunts and shuffling feet to Eddie.
