Re: [eddie/steph/cat steal a heart]
She enjoyed the three of them back together like this. A warmth spread in the pit of her stomach at the sweet nostalgia of the moment. Even with the age differences, even with all the baggage between the three of them, it just felt right. And while Stephanie might have been rusty when it came to patrolling and crimefighting, she never hesitated in jumping in head first into things like this. She trusted Eddie and Cat completely, and she herself? Well, it tended to be like riding a bike anyway. A second nature ability to do whatever it took for the greater good.
And well, shit. She enjoyed this stuff, too.
Steph grinned at the both of them before crouching down to follow Eddie towards the house. The bushes gnarled the yard, twisting and turning. Making the White House seem more like something she'd seen as a stand-in for a witch's house in a Disney movie. But the man whose house this was (well, sort of. This was his subconscious. Whatever. Details.) was probably worse than any Disney villain. The thought of what he'd done to those kids rankled her skin and turned her stomach. When kids were involved? Oh Steph didn't play around.
Wide eyes met Eddie's breakdown of the world they inhabited, and the blonde shadow tried not to freak out a little. Okay, so they'd been in these kind of situations before, but somehow the virtual aspect unnerved her. But just a tad.
"Badass?" A grin. "I guess I don't have a problem with that." She eyed the hole Eddie pointed out. "So we go in the three of us -- Cat, you first for sweeping the area and finding our best way in. I'll be the muscle that makes sure no one gets on your back. Unless you think we need a distraction first?" She grinned again, but sobered. A sharp inhale. "You have a finger on the pulse of the tech already?"
