Re: [eddie/steph/cat steal a heart]
Eddie smiled brightly as Stephanie walked in. To anyone who knew a thing about reading people it would be obvious: she was Eddie's sunshine. He was a plant that turned towards her light. Even if the blinds were drawn or he had to sink down low to see it, he'd move to soak in her rays. True to form, he turned to face her and grinned. Cat offered a few moments together and he didn't argue. As soon as she pushed away to enjoy the fresh air of Repose, he turned to Stephanie.
"You ready for a night of fun?" He asked with a smirk, looking at the blonde's hand on his arm. Eddie grabbed her by the waist and pulled her close to kiss her. It felt like a stolen embrace, like a moment in the dark before the spotlight came on. This was something that always felt very Eddie and Stephanie, at least in those early years. They found intimacy in the middle of battle better than anyone.
Cat was back sooner than Eddie realize and he pulled away from Stephanie, offering a smile. "Let's do this, shall we?" He was a entertainer at heart and knew when it was time to pull the curtain and reveal the big show. He pulled out his phone and if either of them pulled theirs out too, they'd see the strange app of a black eye on a red background. Eddie smiled at the both of them and pushed it.
The world went hazy, slowly shifting into a new reality. The beeps and whirring of arcade machines went quiet as they found themselves in front of a towering White House. Well, a version of the White House. It had those Roman pillars and large windows, but the usually manicured lawn was a field of rose bushes full of thorns. The pillars were slightly uneven, making the roof of the white house tilt down towards the black earth.
Eddie stood before them in a green suit he wasn't wearing before, a black domino mask and a green bowler hat. They, too, would find themselves in new outfits reflecting their troublemaker personas. He outstretched his arms with his question marked cane in hand.
