I don't know that I necessarily see how it appears to me as a whole. I thought it usual at the time. Not many functional families at boarding school, particularly those who stayed over the holidays and then it was - almost a challenge, to keep up with him. I wanted to best him, he liked to be the sharpest around and I rather liked frustrating him. But looking back at it, the constant knife-edge, the bloody tension, I don't know if it's survival or trench warfare. It was grim.
