Re: quicklog: newt and adrian at the museum
[Adrian smiled a little when Newt greeted him, still halfway in his coat. He never would have known Newt had been busy smoothing and correcting himself a moment before. One of his first wild impulses on seeing him, in fact, was to run both hands through Newt's hair.
Nothing seemed different about him - about the way he spoke, or the nervous way he looked around Adrian before looking directly at him. This was Newt, and they were going on a date. It hit him, then, in a way that it hadn't before, and he clasped his hands together, unthinking, and smiled back at him, breaking into a moment of pure sunshine when Newt said he looked lovely.] You always look wonderful. [It was so very earnest that he no doubt felt it. He spoke in a pleased murmur as they stood close in the doorway.] Don't tempt me. I'll muss your bowtie, and then we'll have to stay.
[Adrian glanced to the hallway, then shook his head and offered Newt his arm. He held himself with a stiffness that sometimes made it difficult to indicate just what he meant by pure gesture, but there was no question of what he wanted here.] I haven't in ages. [There was a glint in his eye - curiosity and almost gleeful anticipation.]
