Re: Capital: Holly + Gwen
Not-dead was sort of the running theme of our heroines tonight, and Holly was kind of hoping that the caped crusader's presence on the mean streets of the Capital (even if they were a teensy bit cleaner than the kind of streets she was used to) would mean staying this side of dead. The superhero unmasking deal was for the curious and Holly was fond of cats. The caped crusader could stay in white and pink, and Holly grinned at the gesticulation.
"It's a look. Maybe amp the pink up, caped crusader. I'm all about the pink," but that was obvious, underneath the jacket. And the whole point about new wasn't the need for directions. Holly knew from experience up high? Looked a lot different from down below. It was the outing as the spiderling that was new, even if she had quippy down. By the time Quippy Caped Crusader had swept her off her feet (again) she was prepared and the swoop of cool night air and the sound of the city underneath was kind of exhilarating.
She was breathless and laughter when they stopped, and she shook her head with the teensiest of regret when caped crusader asked if there was further to go. "No. I know this part of town better." She toed boots to the edge and she looked at the sheer drop off the side of the building, and okay, whatever those webs were made of? She totally didn't want to know. "You're good. What do you want here, anyway?"
