Re: Capital: Holly + Gwen
Holly hadn't exactly had a physical education. She had been too young before and then Cat, who was the only one who would really bother, had been gone on and off. And they were short on rooftops when you were locked into a basement with twenty other girls by a guy with a heavy accent and poor personal hygiene for twenty hours a day and spent the other four in a tacky bedroom with a series of guys who had no interest in giving you an open shot at the window. Running away? She had that part down but if she had been a spider in a white suit? The ribs wouldn't have been bruised to hell in the first place. But the damsel thing she was totally in agreement on and Eddie? Hit as many qualifying factors as she did.
"Only a rookie would pick white," Holly's smile was all tease, full curve and dimples, but in Holly's experience? The people who wanted to blend wore black and they hid that way. White was basically neon in these back alleys and that was either a decision, or a mistake. Go bold, caped crusader. She kind of liked the idea that the girl behind the mask? Had thought it through and picked.
The over-the-side-upside-down thing was a neat trick, even if it looked like those fairground rides where people tossed their cookies. Maybe hero-ing was like exercise, do not eat two hours before vigorous crusading? The caped crusader was back before Holly had finished the thought, and was asking for places to go. And she had spent nearly a week in the city before getting caught and thrown under the metaphorical bus in search of her friend.
"White? Stains. I don't think you'll get it on full refund." And the appendage of Sidekick? Was sort of inevitable. Holly wasn't a hero. She wasn't even a very good rogue. "Yeah, maybe. And if not? I carry a phone. Although I don't think the map function has a mode of travel that's like, webs."
