Re: Capital: Holly + Gwen
Gwen hated the entire concept of damsels. Hello! Girls were just as good as boys, and there was totally no reason to believe they were in need of saving in any larger percentages than boys were. In the womb, boys developed way slower than girls, and studies indicated that female development remained advanced through the formative years, so maybe it was boys that needed to be rescued. Okay, okay, so boys were (generally) physically stronger, but girls had speed and agility as a result of their smaller stature, and that was totally just as effective if a girl was trained how to use it. But physical education (in the past) had totally shortchanged girls. So, long story short (too late!), no damsels were harmed in the making of this story.
The car move was totally just her being friendly! She would still be doing that stuff 50 years from now, when her webs were old and gray. Flash always said she was the biggest dork ever and, hello!, this suit let her kick that into super overdrive. So, when the not-damsel was over there and safely placed on the rooftop, Gwen plopped her hands onto her hips. "Hey! I'm not a newbie. Do I look like a newbie?" Did she look like a newbie? She glanced down at the alley, as if that would provide answers, and she noticed the big guys in the alley.
"Shhhhh," she said, finger to her non-existent mouth, and she knelt on the edge of the roof. "Good idea," she whispered when her temporary sidekick said she had to know better places to hang out, and she quietly tethered her web to the edge of the roof, then another to the roof across the alley, and she lowered herself upside down and spider style until she could hear what the big guys were planning.
Then, the men moved, and our Spider swung up as quickly as her spider-limbs could manage. She landed in a crouch beside Sidekick, and she looked up at her with big white orb-not-eyes. "If I give you an address, can you tell me how to get there? The suit doesn't come with GPS. Need to find my receipt and consider a refund."
