Re: Island Adventure: Abe & Sasha
"I don't pretend to know all the hiding places a woman might have." Abe said with a small laugh and he shook his head. She sat next to him, fingers intertwining with his. It was hard to ignore the way Sasha seemed to want to be near him, to touch him when she was given the chance and it made him wonder even more about where they stood. Sasha liked him and he liked her, but Abe sensed complications in her. As if simply wanting to be near someone was a mess she didn't want to sort out. Abe wished to make it as simple for her as possible.
"I think I can find the way." Abe turned and held both of her hands. "You might hear some of my thoughts or see things I've seen. The process is," He hesitated, "intimate." The word made him smile bashfully and he leaned closer to her, hands still holding hers. The first thing she'd feel was the sensation of floating in water. Peaceful, like the shore was never too far away. She'd see memories of them only a day before. The airport, the rooms, the awkwardness in his own head about what he should and shouldn't do.
Meanwhile, Abe saw glimpses of things Sasha likely wanted to keep hidden. The problem, of course, with wanting to hide things in your mind meant they were easier to find. He felt a manic need for revenge, hurt, loneliness. "I still like who you are." He whispered, voice traveling to her over the floating feeling she was feeling. He pried past that fear and found a mental map of where she had gone next time. The trial glowing brightly behind his eyes.
