Re: Island Adventure: Abe & Sasha
Even though he was a psychic fishman, Abe was well aware that his understanding of Sasha was skewed. They shared a macabre sense of humor, she was sexy and he managed to cheer her up sometimes. He liked her and this made him not care very much about the sadness she carried around or the dangers he could sense creeping in. A smart fishman wouldn't go off islanding with a girl he was starting to get to know and this could end with him getting sacrificed to an ocean god, but he'd take the chance. Besides, if she tried to sacrifice him, maybe he'd get to see a hidden ocean temple or see the god before it ate him whole! It wouldn't be that bad. A fish's only use was to be eaten and used, after all.
"You're 60 percent water!" Abe shouted to one of the floundering honeymooners and received a middle finger in response. He seemed satisfied by it. Sasha offered him the cherry and he tilted his head over to pull it off with his teeth and smiled at her. "I think this cherry is 90 percent rum." Not that he was complaining. He turned and lead the way back towards the caves, running his hands along the walls as they went.
"I thought this place would mostly hold the feeling of lust, the need to cut loose. Normal things for vacation spots." Abe said, turning back to look at her and those bobbing pigtails. "But, there's also an overwhelming feeling like something you might get at a nice buffet. The need to consume everything and anything you can, along with the fear that you might miss something. People come here afraid because in days or weeks, they'll be back to their regular lives."
This was bad small talk, but Abe was never really good at that. He had the tendency to just tell Sasha whatever was on his mind.
